Citric Acid Recipes

Bath Bombs

1 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup corn starch, 1/2 cup citric acid, 2 tablespoons of a light oil such as sunflower or sweet almond oil. 1 -2 teaspoons EO or FO.
The citric acid will be the last ingredient added. Combine baking soda & corn starch in a bowl and add a few drops of food coloring if desired. Now add the liquid ingredients and mix well with a wire wisk until completely combined. Add the citric acid and wisk the entire mixture again until well blended. Press into molds and allow to dry.

You can even use citric acid to make your own low fat cottage cheese.

Mix 1/2 teaspoon Citric Acid with 2 tablespoons water, warm if necessary. Bring 1 quart of Non Fat or low fat milk to a simmer while stirring and mixing in the dissolved Citric Acid. When milk fully curdles turn off heat and cover for 3 minutes. Place into cheese cloth and drain out whey, washing outside of cloth as needed. Press curds under heavy weight for 4 hours draining off whey, and the cottage cheese is ready for use.

Lemonade:
2 quarts water
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon citric acid
3 teaspoons lemon extract - orange works also.
Mix sugar citric acid and lemon extract and blend well. Adjust to taste if needed by adding slightly more amounts of lemon, citric or sugar.
