Soap Base

This product is a pre blended soap base for making your own handcrafted soap using the CP, HP, or CPOP soapmaking process. It is the exact* recipe used to make our own soap, so it has already been used, tested and customer approved by own customers. It will even lather well in hard water!!

It's one of the best and easiest ways to get started on the road to making your own handcrafted soap.

Not In Production

All you need to do is heat the base, add the water & lye mix in the prescribed amounts, mix to trace, add color & fragrance if desired and pour into your mold. The suggested mixing temp is 90 -100 degrees F. I prefer the 90 degrees my self.

Each full size recipe is a 7 lb batch and will produce high quality bars of soap with excellent lathering ability!

Recipe 3
This is my personal favorite, but it contains lard, and some folks prefer not to use any animal products in their soaps for some reason. I guess because it not considered natural or that the pig had to die in order for the lard to be obtained. I have noticed, quite often though that those individuals will eat bacon or ham without the same thought, and I am quite certain that it is not still alive. As for not being natural, I guess it's how you look at it as to whether it is or not, maybee. I look at this way, two pigs, male & female, out in the field or behind the barn, do what comes natural in life. A short time later baby pigs are born and so on. What could be more natural than that?
